Terbukti dengan keterlibatan Kim Namjoon alias RM dalam menulis sebagian lirik Waste It On Me.

Proses rekaman Waste It On Me pun tak berlangsung lama.

"Saat aku bekerja sama dengan penyanyi, biasanya kami akan melakukan proses rekaman berulang-ulang. Untuk memastikan apakah lagu tersebut dinyanyikan secara sempurna," jelas Steve Aoki.

Namun berbeda saat ia bekerja sama dengan BTS.

Steve Aoki mengungkapkan dirinya tidak ingin merubah apapun yang dinyanyikan oleh BTS.

Hal itu terbukti saat Steve Aoki menerima rekaman pertama BTS menyanyikan Waste It On Me.

DJ ternama ini langsung jatuh cinta.

"Aku jatuh cinta dengan rekaman pertama mereka. Aku menyukai cara mereka bernyanyi dengan cara mereka sendiri," tutur Aoki.

"Aku tidak ingin mereka menyanyikan lagu bahasa Inggris dengan aksen Amerika. Soal BTS, aku menginginkan keaslian mereka tanpa harus diulang, aku ingin mereka menyanyi secara tulus. Itulah yang disukai orang-orang dari BTS, karena mereka selalu bernyanyi secara tulus. Kamu bisa mendengarnya dari suara mereka," lanjutnya.
